How did I find out I had ovarian cancer after years without knowing?

I had Ovarian Cancer did not know. I had a ovarian cancer for years. Stopped being intimate for 6 years decided to get with a friend. Just from my birthday 2025 and found out because I wouldn't stop bleeding. So I end up going to the doctors. He had me go further to find out, you know, maybe it was my menopause that just wouldn't do. I don't know but anyway, so I went to go and see how far my menopause was progessing. I want to get my uterus ultrasound and found out that I had several tumors in my uterus, and in my ovaries had them due to a hysterectomy, because I didn't want them poking and prying on me and october seventh when they removed my hysterectomy stitches is when she told me that I had ovarian cancer. It was definitely a hard pill to swallow.But I did not know how to swallow that pill because it was removed before I even knew I had it so to all women out here, please make sure your daughter's your cousin. Your sisters, your friends, your nemesis, your people that you just don't like and get their uterus. Ultrasound, to ensure everything is properly taken care of.

How to connect with others facing recurrent ovarian cancer?

I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in August of 2024. Went through multiple surgeries and chemotherapy. Tumors returned in July of 2025. Going through chemotherapy and targeted therapy at this time. Looking for others with recurrent cancer to share experiences.

Does freezing hands and feet prevent chemo neuropathy from ovarian cancer?

Diagnosed with Stage IIIb high grade serious carcinoma..ovarian cancer. Had a complete hysterectomy and now will start chemo. Has anyone tried the freezing hands and feet to keep the neuropathy at bay? Does it work? Also does the cool cap keep hair loss at bay?

How do you stay positive living with ovarian cancer long-term?

Good afternoon I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer 3B in 2008. I did genetic testing of tumor , LGSOC With KRAS. So I am in a clinical trial now. I did Chemotherapy twice and radiation once. I have. Neuropathy in my feet, legs and fingertiips. I don’t complain about this ugly disease only praises that god is with me everyday on this journey. I purchased a 2026 yearly planner and journal. So keep praising god , thanking him for everything now and what he is going to do for you in the future. ❤️❤️☀️

Does anyone else have granulosa cell tumor with breast cancer recurrence?

Hi, does anyone here have granulosa cell tumor? I'm stage 3, six+ years since initial diagnosis. Also dx with bilateral breast cancer about two months later, both invasive and DCIS. I did six rounds of Carboplatin/Taxol after two surgeries, then had my mastectomy surgery about six weeks after finishing the chemo. I continued with Herceptin for the breast cancer. Nine months total for that until it began to do cardiac damage. Recently confirmed to be in recurrence after three years of rising markers.

Is watching and waiting the right approach after ovarian cancer treatment?

I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer after a hernia repair in December. Have had complete hysterectomy and omentum removal, three chemos before and three after for fastest growing serous ovarian cancer. Last chemo in June.. Doctor is not putting me on any medication just watching for return since I am brca negative. CAT scan looked ok but sometimes just hard to know if waiting and watching for it to return is the best way to treat it.

How long do hot flashes and neuropathy last after stopping cancer treatment?

I got to see my oncologist last Thursday, was told that I no need to take Letrozole since am now on watch and wait , And under surveillance . Am still experiencing hot flashes, even know starting next year I see my oncologist ones a year with CT scans and CA-125 biomarker bloodwork each year ,how much longer will this hot flashes last ? Was just wondering and am still experiencing neuropathy,how long will the affect last ? ,as am 5 years out and this symptoms comes and goes. I did so well in the summer time. Now that’s fall seaon. Am experiencing again. Should I address this issue again with my urologist or my neurologist?

How long does hip pain last after robotic hysterectomy?

I had a hysterectomy (robotic) on September 12. I thought after a couple of weeks I would not have any pain but my left hip is painful without meds. So I thought a couple more weeks and it would be good. I’m still experiencing pain. Tylenol or ibuprofen is good with the muscle relaxer. Is this normal? If so how long before I can experience no pain?
