a month agoLooking for anyone with LGSOC on Letrozole. Anyone with experiences?
Accepted Answer
This type of treatment experience can vary quite a bit from person to person, so connecting with others who have been on the same medication for low-grade serous ovarian cancer could provide valuable insights. Hopefully some community members who have experience with Letrozole will share their perspectives to help you feel more prepared and informed about what to expect.

8 days agoI am on Letrozole only arm of clinical trial since 4/24. I have been NED since R0 surgery in 2/24. My CA125 was 24 at diagnosis, 19 right after TAH/BSO omenectomy and under 10 when checked every 3 months. Sides from Letrozole have been insignificant in my experience. Literally no hot flashes anymore and when I did experience them in my first year they were merely an annoyance for about 30 seconds a couple times a day, and certainly not daily and NEVER at night. I feel very blessed! I did have incidences of achy joints early on. Now those are pretty much gone with the exception of joints in fingers that are stiff especially on waking and occasionally to the point of trigger fingers even 2 plus years later. I can live with that! I did have a situation about 9 months in that the clinical pharmacist I worked with figured out successfully. One month I began having pretty intense left hip pain that developed out of the blue. Nothing had changed, or so it seemed. On investigation we discovered that two different manufacturers’ products were combined in one prescription fill. How had I been fine for 6 months and all the sudden so progressively uncomfortable? She was able to imagine the possibilities and when I went back to the original manufacturer’s product the problem cleared in three days! Now I make certain I always get product from the original manufacturer. Who knew…fortunately my brilliant clinical pharmacist! I can honestly not be more thankful it was that simple! Letrozole is apparently working well for me so far. I am monitored and measured quarterly under the trial protocol. I see my gyn/onc bi/annually now that I am 2 plus years post Surgery. I feel really good oncology-wise with little daily thought of my diagnosis, except when approaching quarterly CT scans, which bring up the next shoe drop thoughts of potential recurrence. I am so grateful for my original surgically proficient and humorous surgeon, who has moved to another area. She would reassure by answering absolutely ANY ridiculous question by saying no question is insignificant; she endured my literal lists of inquiries and after an exam while removing her gloves, would look me directly in the eyes and deadpan “ BORING…nothing to see here!”. It was the most reassuring thing I could hope to hear! Praise God! I have been very blessed! I hope your journey is unencumbered with worry, that you have a source ready to answer your questions and comfort from on high continually! ❤️🥰💕Debra
