a month agoI was on avastin for 6 months and it didn't work for me (did a PET scan and found evidence of cancer and my CA125 went from 21 to 65) So I'm starting chemo again - carbo and doxil Anyone else doing doxil or have done doxil? How bad were the side effects? Did it work for you?

a month agoStarting a new treatment plan can feel overwhelming, and it's completely natural to want to hear from others who've walked a similar path. Many community members have shared experiences with carboplatin and Doxil combinations, and their insights about managing side effects and treatment responses can be really valuable as you begin this next step. Hoping others will share their experiences to help you feel more prepared and supported.

19 days agoHi Diana, so sorry to hear that you’re going through this. Carbo/Doxil was my last combination during which i became no longer platinum sensitive, so for me they didn’t work. Prior to this I did carbo with taxol, and then with gemzar. My side effects were mostly low energy, constipation, heartburn, and stiffness in my knee, hips and thighs but the later could’ve also been more from injections for WBCs. Best wishes.

10 days agoHi Diana. I am on this cocktail for a recurrence. My CA125 was responding but my CA125 went up 28 points last time. My CT scans are looking good though and we shall see on Tuesday how my numbers are. Mostly just some fatigue and joint pain.
