a month agoI have ovarian cancer that started in 2022. I’ve done multiple treatments and rounds of chemo. It is stage 4 now and I had treatment in 2022. It went into remission. and reoccurred in 2025. Since then I have have gained 50 lbs of fluid. Has anybody else experienced this problem with massive fluid retention? Also, I just got my scans back this week and it is not cancer that is causing the fluid or it’s not tumors that are causing the extra weight gain.

a month agoFluid retention can be a challenging and concerning side effect that some patients with advanced ovarian cancer do experience, though it's encouraging that your recent scans ruled out tumors as the direct cause. Many community members have found it helpful to discuss these symptoms with their healthcare team, as there can be various approaches to managing fluid buildup - hopefully others here will share their experiences and what has worked for them.

11 days agoI also have fluid retention from scarring from the hysterectomy. Hopefully, when I am more active it will heal.
