Hi gang, Here is a different ? I am on my 3rd round of chemo. The first 2, weren’t bad. After about day 6, I felt pretty good. Now after, 3rd round I’m on day 7 and still have no energy. My legs feel heavy and everything I do, wears me out. Are there any great vitamins out there, or anything to help combat this?

Chemo fatigue can definitely change and intensify as treatments progress, and what you're experiencing with the heavy legs and exhaustion sounds really challenging. Many patients find it helpful to discuss specific supplements or energy-supporting options with their oncology team, as they can recommend safe approaches that won't interfere with treatment and are tailored to your current health status.

That was my experience also. I had to be dragged, practically, to chemo rounds 5 and 6. It made me terribly fatigued and some days I needed two! naps. I also had no appetite and lost over 40 pounds- I called it "the ovarian diet". I needed to lose that weight anyway. Be sure to use quality protein drinks during this time. After I made it through all six infusions, it took about a month to feel better. Unfortunately, it gave me neuropathy in my toes and feet. Now about 3 months out, I feel pretty darn good, but the neuropathy continues. I think chemo is worth it and encourage you to continue. My experience was that the final rounds of chemo are hard, but doable. Best wishes and hugs.

I had my 4th round the other day and my hard days weren’t as hard this time. I’m fatigued, though. My next step is surgery in a month and then 2 more Chemo treatments. We can do this!! 💪🏻💪🏻🙏🙏

My oncologist prescribed Cymbalta, but it didn't work. I am researching neuropathy, but have only found what looks like quack cure claims on the internet. I never had neuropathy before chemo and my midsole and toes are tingly and sensitive now. I think chemo fried the myelin sheaths covering the nerves there. Apparently medical science hasn't really figured out how to repair nerves at all. I hope somebody in cancer land has better advice. I can't go barefoot anymore.

I had stage 3C ovarian peritoneal cancer in 2024… took 6 rounds of chemo then surgery and 1 more round of chemo. Carboplatin & Taxol. Was told to use ice packs on feet n hands to keep from having neuropathy and it did work. I hated doing it bc it was miserable…had to have my daughters help getting packs on and off but I do not have neuropathy. Amazon has special ice packs for this purpose. Hope this helps someone. AE
