4 months agoLoretta, I am so sorry š¢- thatās unfortunately not an uncommon story. My oncologist told me 80% of those diagnosed arenāt able to have the surgery. Either way there is no assurance the cancer wonāt return somewhere elseā¦.

3 months agoHi, I was diagnosed July 2024, I had whipple surgery that same month. I completed 12 rounds of chemotherapy in March. I found a pancreatic cancer foundation that has monthly online zoom meetings lead by a therapist. They have 3 separate meetings, one for those newly diagnosed, another for survivors (people that do not fall into the newly diagnosed group) and a meeting for care givers. It is the Seen A Magowitz foundation. I have participated in 2 of the survivor meetings. There are several people in this group that were diagnosed 10 plus years ago. I have found the group to be very supportive and encouraging. I hope that you find support to get through treatment. I know that I found treatment to be challenging. But I got through it.ā¤ļøāš©¹

3 months agoHello I just found this app. I was diagnosed in May or June of 2024 I took 4 treatments and had the Whipple surgery and they got the cancer. I took 4 more treatments, and I was told I was in remissioned, just yesterday I found out that my CA 19 has gone back up and something has come back on one of my scans. I was just getting used to being cancer-free, and now I'm scared, it might be returning. I'm asking for everyone's prayers, please. I need the support group.

3 months agoI was diagnosed February 14, 2019 with stage 4. Cancer free for 2.5 years. Had a localized recurrence at one of the margins. Had more chemo and radiation. I remain in remission so far. For those of you with recent diagnosis, please feel hopeful.

3 months agoLoretta, I found and still find, that using THC in small amounts diminishes my nausea and increases my appetite. Hot soups were my mainstay. Keeping well hydrated is very important.
