I have metastatic bladder cancer and I'm starting docetaxel chemotherapy. My oncology team explained that this medication works by stopping cancer cells from dividing and growing. They mentioned I'll be monitored closely and may get steroids beforehand to help prevent reactions. They also told me to watch for symptoms like fever, unusual bleeding, or severe digestive problems and contact them right away if these happen.
