My name is Richard, I have stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma. Went through Immunotherapycancer sucks. for 18 months until I couldn't do it anymore. After they told me there was nothing else they could do for me and put me under Hospice care. I went a year under their care until they couldn't kill me either and sent me to a Primary care doctor to find out why I'm still kicking. 2 weeks ago I went down with Congestive Heart Failure due to the combination of Opdivo and Yervoy pharmaceuticals.

What a journey this has been - from immunotherapy to hospice care and now navigating unexpected heart complications. When hospice discharge happens because someone is doing better than expected, it can feel confusing and leave families wondering what comes next. Many people find that working with their primary care team helps coordinate the right level of support moving forward, whether that's palliative care focused on comfort, exploring other treatment options, or simply managing new health challenges as they arise. The community here understands how overwhelming these transitions can be, and there's always support available as you figure out the best path forward.
