Merkel cell carcinoma diagnosed a year ago, having Keytruda infusions every three weeks. Caught influenza a. Anyone have experience with this? Will my immune system be able to handle it? Routine things have become very scary!

Managing cancer treatment while dealing with infections like the flu can feel overwhelming, and those concerns are completely understandable. Many people receiving immunotherapy treatments have questions about how their bodies will respond to common illnesses, so reaching out to the oncology team for guidance about managing flu symptoms during treatment is always the best approach. The community here understands how routine health challenges can feel much more complicated when dealing with cancer, and sharing these experiences with others who truly get it can provide valuable support and perspective.
