Anxiety about what comes after treatment is incredibly common and completely understandable - many people in this community share those same worries about the future. Managing pain during treatment can make these anxious thoughts even more challenging, so reaching out here shows real strength. Consider discussing both your pain management options and your concerns about post-treatment life with your care team, as they can provide strategies and support plans that help address both issues together.

Oh, yeah. For me, all the unknowns have been the hardest part. And even when things seem to be going well, I worry they'll turn bad again as they have before. All I know to do is to stick around for the ride and try to enjoy the good when it comes. Try to make good moments for yourself, when you can. And create for yourself something to look forward to, something that will keep your mind engaged. For me, it is planning a vacation with my kids. Maybe for you, it's writing your memoir. Or it might be completing Level 1,000,000 of a mobile game. Cancer is important and it requires a lot of thought. But if given the chance, it will take over all your thoughts. So don't give it the chance!
