Hello. My mom and I both have cancer. She has pancreatic cancer as of may 2025. My have kidney cancer that has spread to my liver after almost 4 years. This is all so overwhelming. With strained relationships with my mom. Im actually tired of people telling me that I cant hold her accountable for lying. Im angry about this.

Facing cancer alongside a parent creates an incredibly complex emotional landscape, especially when existing relationship challenges add another layer of stress. Setting boundaries and holding people accountable for their actions remains valid even during illness, and it's completely understandable to feel frustrated when others suggest otherwise. Many in this community have navigated similar feelings of anger and overwhelm while managing their own treatment journey, so sharing these experiences here can help connect with others who truly understand this unique situation.

What did she lie about? She was probably overwhelmed with grief. Go easy on her and anger only fuels cancer. Must let it all go. Wishing you wellness.

She has lied about everything. This isn't the first time its happened. Her and my dad would lie about health things then get mad at us for not responding in a certain way. Like how could we know its serious if your are saying your fine. Its a pattern. Its got my in therapy.
