I desire to quit taking pregabellin drug for my neuropathy in my feet due to chemotherapy for cancer in my lungs. I’ve been on the drug for nearly 3 years and I don’t like the possible long term harm it might be creating for me. Anyone else taking this drug? Trying to stop?

This is such an important question about medication management during cancer survivorship. Stopping pregabalin after taking it for an extended period typically requires a gradual tapering schedule to avoid withdrawal symptoms, but this should always be done under medical supervision. Consider discussing your concerns about long-term effects with your oncologist or the doctor who prescribed the medication - they can help create a safe plan that addresses both your worries and your neuropathy symptoms. Many survivors in this community have navigated similar medication decisions, so hopefully others will share their experiences with you.
