5 months agoCan someone help me navigate radiation treatment for prostate cancer and Erectile Disfunction?
Accepted Answer
Navigating radiation treatment while managing these concerns can feel overwhelming, but this community has many members who have walked similar paths and may share their experiences. Consider connecting with your medical team about both aspects of your care, as they often work together to address treatment side effects and quality of life concerns. The knowledge and support from others here who understand prostate cancer treatment can be invaluable during this journey.

5 months agoHey Robert, I had radiation treatment 8 months ago and does far, PSA dropping continously. The PSA reduction process is 18 months to 3 years. This slow process can be a little frustrating at times, at least for me; I'm a little impatient when it comes to the PSA dropping. It's common I'm told but still nerve-racking at times. I get PSA blood tested every 3 months. After the year, I might be every 6 months. As far as the radiation treatment itself, my radiation journey was seamless given my Oncology team communicated everything clearly with exact expectations which included potential sideffects. I was fortunate that my sideffects where minimal and short lasting. The mental part (overall whether one gets radiation or surgery) is super important to manage via support and exercise, and the physical as well via exercise and diet. Hope this helps. Godspeed and best wishes moving forward.
