What's radiation therapy like for iliac lymph nodes?

I had radiation therapy. I believe my tumor had not spread to iliac lymph nodes I had 28 rounds. 1 round each day Monday through Friday. For 5 plus weeks. Saturday Sunday no radiation. About the middle maybe round 16 I got mild diarrhea. Oncology agreed it was safe to take Imodium. The diarrhea was gone the next day

Had radiation therapy once my cancer spread to various lymph nodes near my lungs and clavicle. Results along with ADT and abiraterone treatments shrank the tumors and reduced my rapidly rising PSA. Still on the drugs and under active surveillance, and so far my PSA is again rising, but only slowly for now.

All these comments are very encouraging thank you very much. I had my simulated CT scan today to mark the areas and draw out the plan for radiation. My treatments will be 40 days 5 days a week.. probably 15 or 20 minutes a session. The first half of the sessions will be more targeted towards the pelvic floor though nothing really showed up there on the scan but just in case there are cells that have not yet grown big enough to show up on a scan. At least that I assume is the plan... the last half of the sessions will be more focused on the actual tumor itself. I know the tumor is a little deeper in the pelvis so that was the reason for the question asking if anybody else had had a similar situation. Following the radiation, I will stay on Orgvikx and have an add-on drug which I believe will be Nubeqa from what I've been able to read about the drug from both patients and doctors evaluations, it seems to do a very good job of beating down any cancer cells that are still existing and lowering the PSA level to negligible or even zero. My medical oncologist mentioned that I would probably be on it for at least two years following the radiation. Not pleasant but it is a plan and I'm pretty optimistic. This prostate cancer is a presumptive cause of. Agent Orange from my service in Vietnam. I will never know if that really caused it, however, the VA does cover the costs for all the drugs and treatments.. I hope we all have or continue to have successful results.
