6 months agoCompleted 5 weeks of EBRT. 1 week to go. I walk or go to the gym every day. Fatigue is real but a nap fixes it. Other side effects pretty minimal. If I miss exercise for even a day fatigue increases. The benefit of exercise seems is really clear.

It's wonderful that you've found such a clear connection between staying active and managing fatigue during treatment. Many people going through radiation therapy find that regular movement, even when energy feels low, can actually help boost their overall energy levels throughout the day. Your experience highlights how important it can be to listen to your body while still maintaining healthy habits during cancer treatment.

6 months agoHi Brian Thanks for sharing your experience and situation. I completed 28 sessions of radiation beam treatment nothing else. I trained all the way through my treatment period - swimming, boxing gym some tennis and yea also naps because I had some anxiety and insomnia. The fatigue I remember was not only physical but also mental emotional and spiritual. Happy to talk to you more here. Hang in there. I’m 67 and doing second PSA follow up in about a week. Thanks Charlie

6 months agoI endured 9 weeks, 45 fractions, 81 gys of IMRT six years ago. Radiation treatment was concurrent with ADT and Zytiga, three years of the former two of the latter. Naps helped. I lifted weights every other day and walked. Had the usual ADT symptoms of hot flashes, etc. I thought it would be beneficial to lift to try to counter the osteoporosis effects of Lupron. Radiation treatment was like a part time job. The techs were joyful, and kept my spirits up. Taking them weekly treats helped. 6 years on, my PSA remains <.1. Feeling fine at 77. Praying

6 months agoI also had Radiation. 5 intense sessions of one hour to an hour and a half each. First PSA test three months later was lower but not significantly low, second PSA test in two weeks. We shall see gents. The anxiety is real but one has to keep living as best possible.

6 months agoJust finished 23 IMRT radiation treatments and an HDR boost. In month 5 of Orgovyx with no hot flashes at all. Fatigue does creep up from time to time typically on the golf course during intense heat
