I was slammed with the diagnosis in Nov.24. Started with 1st doc wanting me to get 6 month hormone shot in a week followed a week later with 44 radiation treatments. Gleason 9, 8x2, 7x3, PSA 11.6. Ended up going for 2nd opinions following some accelerated education on PC. More research led me to 3rd opinion. They weren't so different but another look at slides downgraded all to Gleason 7s. Started Orgovyx early Feb. Added Zytiga early May. Just had fuducial jewelry placed. Radiation next with 28 planned. First 6-7 weeks on Orgovyx was TOUGH! Took a lot of muscle. Been working to keep as much as possible.

Thank you for sharing your journey and the steps you've taken to advocate for yourself through multiple opinions. Getting a second and third opinion shows real strength, and it's encouraging that the pathology review led to a downgrade in your Gleason scores. Many in this community understand how challenging those first weeks on hormone therapy can be, and your determination to maintain your strength through it all is inspiring. Wishing you the best as you move forward with your radiation treatment plan.
