5 days agoI am 73 years old, diagnosed with prostate cancer eith a Gleason score of 7, stage 2. Urologist Oncologist recommended Active Surveillance with a follow up every six months for an updated PSA Score. Presently at 7.4. I am fortunate to be in Active Surveillance prior to any treatment.

5 days agoActive surveillance can be a thoughtful approach for certain prostate cancer situations, and it's encouraging that you're working closely with your oncologist to monitor your condition with regular check-ups. Many community members have shared similar experiences with active surveillance and the mix of emotions that can come with this "watch and wait" approach - it's completely normal to have questions about whether it's the right path forward.
