How to cope with depression during aggressive prostate cancer treatment?

I have prostate cancer aggressive and high risk with gleason score of 8. Had radiation and will need to take orgovitz, aberetone, and prednisone for 3 years. Experiencing nausea, light head and depression also Rectal discomfort and burning with urination. Started treatments in October. What to do about depression.

Get on a anti depressant ASAP !!! It will help !!! I have been taking Aberatitone, prednisone, something I call skelegrow ( lol ) for bone strength and LUPRON injections along with anti depressants for 3 years now !!! Cancer sucks and Depression sucks , I still have bad thoughts !!!

Had the PC spread outside the prostate? I wad Gleason 10 and my treatment after EBRT is nowhere near this aggressive.

Yes David, cancer has spread to lymph node. The meds I take are supposed to target the lymph node and hold it at bay. Have 85% chance to live another 10 years.

At the time of my diagnosis, I was given a %50 chance of living 5 years !!! Any year after that my percentage went down %10 !!! It’s going on almost 4 years now !!! Scary Time !! Head game !!! Tough to Maintain my emotions, and some are not good !!!
