Recovery from robotic prostatectomy typically involves several weeks of healing, with most patients experiencing a gradual return to normal activities over time. Many community members find it helpful to connect with others who have been through similar experiences, so feel free to share updates about your recovery journey or ask specific questions as they come up.

You will be fine. I had my Robotic Prostatectomy surgery on June 19th. The surgery went very well. Don’t overthink it. The recovery is to be expected. It was sore and leakage was different. Had my surgeon to order pelvic PT which helped tremendously. My post psa came back at .01 from a 4/3 which is great. I was spared on side of nerve and my sexual feelings has returned. After this 2 months I am on my way to recovery. I’m so glad that I chose this option. Have family member or better half to be on this journey with you. Take one day at a time. You will continue to get better day by day. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. This will save your life. The process is worth it in the long term. God Bless and remember to take care and get the rest but get up and walk as soon as you can. You will feel better day by day as I do. I just started back teaching middle school this week and attending Norfolk State College Graduate school this week also. Best wishes. You will be fine.

Amen Yes. I had the cat for a week also. A little uncomfortable but can be manageable until they take it out. We are frat brothers now for life. Things will feel better day by day. They kept telling me that and I was hesitant at first to believe them but they were right. Recovery is within reach. It is very much better. Take your time. Keep me updated.

Gleason 3:4=7 Grade 2 Decipher score .52 Doctors recommended radiation or surgery. Didn’t recommend active surveillance due to family history. My Robotic- (auto-correct changed that to erotic—ha ha) Assisted Prostatectomy is scheduled Nov. 10th. I’m following your journeys and recoveries hoping for the best outcomes for all of us. Courage!

I've realized the main issue post prostate surgery is constant discomfort. Be it constipation.. periods of pain. Incontinence.. and the obvious ED. Hard to describe.. just uncomfortable

Hey Wesley. I Went through the same post surgery issues. I’m Here to tell you that with time it’s gets better. Two and a half months and no incontinence or constipation issues. No more depends. The pain inside is gone. Make sure you perform your pelvic exercises. I went to a physical therapy and it’s helped tremendously. Hang in there. Recovery is around the corner for you. Blessing to you.

57 yrs old psa 10, half the samples from biopsy came back with most common type of prostrate cancer. Gleason scores were 3+3 and 3+4. Robotic prostrate removal recommended over radiation due to age and good heath. Very active lifestyle currently. Trying to determine best course of action. Waiting for pet ct scan and bone scan. Thoughts?

Thx for responding. Hope you are feeling better. Had pet and ct scan today. Bone scan in two days. Nothing else to report. Waiting on these results to determine if surgery on Oct. 16th is still happening. Thx again. How goes your recovery
