Why isn’t there a blood test for a specific cancer ??? Adenocarcinoma for example and since my cancer went to a lymph node , why hasn’t other lymph nodes been removed around it or samples taken of them?? Cancer travels thru blood and lymph nodes , so it only makes sense to try and find out if any more exists !!!

Blood tests for cancer detection are becoming more advanced, though they're not yet available for all cancer types due to the complexity of how different cancers behave in the body. Regarding lymph node sampling, treatment approaches vary based on many factors including cancer stage, location, and individual patient circumstances - this sounds like an important discussion to have with your oncology team about your specific treatment plan and what monitoring or additional testing might be appropriate for your situation.

Stockholm 3, MPS2, Episwitch PSE, ctc Clearvieware some of the biomarker tests that are PCa specific and way more predictive than PSA. Ask your doctor why they are not using one of them.

I forgot to add 4k Score and ISO PSA, and should have mentioned that MPS2 is a urine test.

Cost, insurance coverage, doctor familiarity and resistance to change are factors limiting use of these better tests. Still, some are covered by private insurance and Medicare under conditions. In time, I believe one or more will supplant PSA as an initial screening and diagnostic test.
