a month agoWe are still in the Neanderthal Age when it comes to treating Cancer I will give you this,we have learned to make spears and use fire but that is as far as it goes !!! When you have to go a mile at 1/16” a day it will take researchers 2770 years to maybe even treat all the different cancers that exist !! I said treat not cure !! Sure , if you can find it early you have a chance !! But not many cancers show signs of any kind until it’s past early!! We people with cancer are not getting enough information, we can’t just rely on cancer sites, or 15 minutes with our oncologist, or have to google anything !!! Why can’t The American Caner Society, or Any of the big Cancer Centers rent time on TV replacing sweeper infomercials to get in front of the camera spend 10 minutes on a cancer and move on to the next ??? Nothing but facts and truths !! It wouldn’t take that long to go thru the cancers !!! I know you can afford it !!! We need more meds , many more clinical trials throughout this country, not just in locations most people can’t get to !! And if they do they have to stay in a hotel and probably given a placebo anyway !! That’s just great !!! In my area I have the University of PA ( Ivy League ) ,Johns Hopkins, Hershey Med Center and even The York Hospital of PA along with many other Hospitals in my area !!! In 2770 years from know what you are doing now will be laughable and won’t even exist !!! Just like the Neanderthals didn’t survive neither will we !! We need information, we paid for it , and we deserve it !! What, you can’t get in front of The People without lying??? All the money in the world isn’t worth even One Life !!!

This frustration about the pace of cancer research and access to information is completely understandable, especially when facing a prostate cancer diagnosis. Cancer research does face significant challenges - from the complexity of different cancer types to the rigorous testing required for new treatments - which can make progress feel painfully slow when time matters most. Many patients share similar concerns about getting clear, accessible information beyond brief doctor visits, and there are growing efforts to improve patient education through online resources, patient advocacy groups, and expanded clinical trial access. The feelings expressed here about wanting more transparency and better communication from major cancer organizations reflect what many in the cancer community are advocating for.

a month agoWe The People, living with cancer don’t have the pull to get anyone to do anything for us !!! We don’t have The Voice or Money needed for anyone to care !!! No one will take a stand to help out the sick human beings in the world, that’s Men,Women and Children !!! They did for AIDS but for cancer we get nothing !!! Face It ,we all know it’s about the money they can squeeze out of us until we are Dead !! Then move on to the next group and do it again and a again, etc, etc !!! As long as the richest people in the world keep making millions off of Big Pharma and Insurance company’s there’s no hope for anyone with cancer until they start to die from cancer !!!

a month agoThe frustration you feel is valid and you’re correct except for item you missed Everyone gets a full body Pet scan every 2 weeks to catch all the cancers early or as soon as exposes it self This would cost the insurance complies billions of dollars and will fight this tooth and nail and until we have universal health care at least here in the states it ent happen But then again Obamacare was never going to happen and now lived by 70% of Americans who use it Try hats the only solution to get a diagnosis quickly to treat in stage 1 or pre cancer The medical and insurance would never allow this since they will Lose millions of patients

a month agoPrimary care or "Health Care" is really non existent these days....I think AI will be promising in supplementing existing health providers. HEALTH CARE is big business and we dont have enough primary care providers only specialist that dont look at whole person or have time to spend anymore - you need to be proactive in your Healthcare as if that needed to be highlighted in this day and age. PC is really the "Quarterback" for your health care guiding you on best path forward when health issues arise but they are dying breed and with Healthcare system so dysfunctional now I think you need to do extra due diligence and push for what is best for your health. Ironically we have many more treatments available for prostrate cancer than we did 20 years ago but you have to navigate a labyrinth of beaucracy to get whats best for you. Stay positive on journey and dont let anything stop you for doing what is best for you.
