What's recovery like after radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer?

I have intermediate-risk, localized prostate cancer and my oncologist mentioned radical prostatectomy as one of my treatment options. This would involve removing my entire prostate gland and possibly some nearby lymph nodes to check if the cancer has spread. I'm trying to learn more about what this experience is like from others who have been through it.
