a month agoHaving support during surgery can provide such comfort during an already stressful time. Hospital policies vary regarding who can accompany patients into different areas, so it's worth discussing your specific situation with your surgical team ahead of time - they can explain what's possible at each stage of your procedure and may be able to accommodate your wishes in some way.

a month agoYou're never truly alone if you believe in Jesus. I had a very difficult and dangerous spine surgery where they removed half of a vertebrae. They told me I might not survive it, or I could be paralyzed from the waist down. I prepared myself mentally by reading the Bible and praying very hard. I went into surgery with a calm and peace so profound I can hardly begin to describe it. When I came to, the first thing I did was wiggle my toes. I not only survived, but I thrived for another 45 years! I had severe, chronic pain from the surgery, but God had given me LIFE WITHOUT A WHEEL CHAIR. I'm eternally grateful.Turn to your Bible for help. Get to know Jesus. You won't be alone. You'll have peace.
