Starting radiation treatment can feel overwhelming, and it's completely natural to feel anxious about what lies ahead. Many community members have shared that connecting with others who've been through similar treatments can provide valuable insights and emotional support during this time.

3 months agoI’d suggest asking for a prescription for Betamethasone cream at your first visit. Don’t fill it until you get a rash, but when/if you do you’re ready and can fill your RX on short notice. Radiation rash is wicked and you don’t want to be begging someone for a prescription on a Sunday morning. (Yes, personal experience.)

a month agoI just finished 15 rounds of radiation for breast cancer. I think I was on auto pilot and felt overwhelmed when it was over. I felt such a sense of relief. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. We do what we have to do.
