a day agoAre there any places that help you move? My husband is the bread winner, I have cervical cancer that has spread to my uterus and fallopian tubes. I was scheduled for a total hysterectomy and the day of the surgery it was cancelled because my urine test said I was pregnant but it was a false positive. They won't operate now do to blood disorder. They are not able to locate if it's in my cervix or ovaries because they couldn't do the surgery. I went in for my mammogram and they told me I have to go to diagnostic. Now I'm being sent to a different doctors once again and feel like I'm going in circles. My husband is no help and gets angry with me if I bring it up. He doesn't help clean or cook and I am getting sicker each day. I want to leave but have no support and can't work. But I haven't gotten disability yet. Is there anywhere that I can go? I think it's best that I move out and be around positive people who understand but don't know if a place like that exists.

a day agoYour Doctors should have a list of resources. Try churches. Some have men's groups that are there and do these things. Where are you located?

19 hours agoThere are several organizations that provide housing assistance for cancer patients, including the American Cancer Society, CancerCare, and local cancer centers that often have social workers who can connect you with resources in your area. Many communities also have patient housing programs, transitional living facilities, and support groups specifically designed for people going through cancer treatment who need both practical help and emotional support from others who truly understand the journey.
