Can RCC come back in other areas after kidney removal?

13 days agoOct 2016 had my right kidney and adrenal gland removed due to RCC. Was given a diet to live by, taken real good care of my kidney. I just wish they would have said RCC could come back in other areas of your body. Here it is 10 years later and it came back with a vengeance in my lungs and adrenal gland. Had my 2nd round of ipi and novo. Drugs are kicking my butt.

13 days agoYes, RCC can unfortunately return in other parts of the body even after kidney removal, which is what makes regular monitoring so important. Many people find it helpful to connect with others in this community who have faced similar challenges with recurrence and treatment side effects. The experience with immunotherapy combinations can be tough, and sharing what helps manage those effects might benefit both you and others going through similar treatments.

3 days agoMy RCC came back after 20 years. Metasrasized to my lungs and abdomen. Currently receiving Ketruda shots every three weeks.
