Can immunotherapy cause high blood sugar and loss of appetite?

I completed my 3rd immunotherapy infusion of Opdiva and Yervoy two weeks ago. Since then, I had the normal itching amd fatigue but this past week has been a nightmare. Had minimal appetite and when I would take a couple bites, I would lose appetite. Started vomiting too. Doc sent me to ER and found out my blood sugar was over 300, getting IV fluids I have never had issues before. Also getting a taste in my throat when I eat or drink something. Admitted to hospital. Blood sugar has gone down to 250 so waiting to see what what they decide to do.

Yes, immunotherapy treatments like Opdivo and Yervoy can cause blood sugar changes and digestive issues as potential side effects, though these reactions don't happen to everyone. It sounds like the medical team is taking good care of monitoring these changes and getting things stabilized. Many others in this community have navigated similar treatment challenges, so sharing experiences here can be really valuable for connecting with people who understand what this journey is like.
