I have a script for lidocaine viscous oral topical solution. Mix 1 tsp with 1 tsp each benedryl and mylanta. Sip quickly with a straw to bypass it touching mouth and so it can get to esophagus. Ask you docs.

That sounds incredibly painful and exhausting to deal with after treatment. Severe throat pain and swallowing difficulties are common side effects that many people experience after radiation to the chest area, though that doesn't make it any easier to endure. Please reach out to your oncology team right away if you haven't already - they may be able to prescribe medications for pain relief, suggest nutritional support options, or recommend other strategies to help you get through this challenging recovery period.
