SCLC remission update - continuing immunotherapy and dealing with blood clots?

I just found out that my SCLC is in remission! I will continue with my protocols and I have to take immunotherapy once a month. I didn’t tell him I was taking over fenben? But I truly believe that is what turned a corner for me? Dr wanted to radiate my brain once again as a precaution because he fully expects it to come back and he said it comes back in the brain the majority of the time. My ankles and feet were swelling really bad! I didn’t know it was a sign of blood clots? They tested me and sure enough I have blood clots! So I had to go on blood thinners. I will continue praying for you all? I struggled even posting this? I didn’t want to make someone else that hasn’t had as good an outcome feel bad? Good luck to everyone and God Bless you all!

How do I cope with new brain lesions during stage 4 lung cancer treatment?

I have small cell lung cancer stage 4 the location of the disease is left lung, neck, pancreas, liver,skin, bone, abdomen and brain. I have had 6 cycles of chemotherapeutic and now I am doing immunotherapy 1 day once every 4 week. I am doing ok but I was told that I have new cell in my brain and I am waiting to see the doctor to see where we go from here.

Did anyone else get extremely sick from blood count booster shots during cancer treatment?

I have SCLC diagnosed in November. Stage 2. I’ve taken 16 rounds of chemo and radiation. I’m supposed to start immunotherapy with chemotherapy in a couple of weeks. I would have started sooner but I’m having trouble keeping my blood counts up? So the Dr ordered a shot to help bring them up? He said I might have flu symptoms? I got so sick I thought I might die? I stayed in bed for 4 days straight! I don’t know when I’ve been sicker? I wasn’t even this sick when I got Covid? I really thought about going to the ER? Has anyone else had one of these shots?

How do you cope with waiting for PET scan results after SCLC diagnosis?

Hi. My name is Linda. I was diagnosed on January 29th with SCLC. Just had my pet scan on Thursday. The wait is so very hard. I am waiting for the results to determine whether or not I am going to get or even able to get treatment. I am 65 and not in the best of health. How to manage severe nausea after cancer treatment and pneumonitis?

I’m 8 months past my last infusion and I have pneumonitis. I’m being treated with prednisone. My major problem is nausea. I can’t get past it since I started treatment for my Stage 2 cancer. I’m so sick there are days I can’t get out of bed. Has anyone had this and does anyone have any suggestions to help me.

What to expect with small cell lung cancer that has spread?

My name is Wendy and my fiance has small cell lung cancer with metastasis to brain n adrenals.

I’m 62 I was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer about 2 weeks ago. The oncologist said without treatment I have 6 months and with treatment a year and a half. I really have no idea about any of this. I just had a 2 nd pet ct scan done and it’s worse than the one I did 2 months ago and includes a rib now. I have spreading to the pleura but no signs of any more fluid now. I have pain in my right side by ribs and back. I guess the plan is chemo every 3 weeks for 4 1/2 months then every 3 weeks for the rest of my life. I’m struggling with either going through with this treatment or just taking off in a camper and seeing things I’ve never seen before. I’m single and don’t have anyone counting on me for anything. What would you do?
