Your fighting spirit is admirable and will serve you well on this journey. Treatment options for metastatic small cell lung cancer typically include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, and sometimes targeted therapies, depending on your specific situation and overall health. Your oncology team will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that considers all these factors. It's completely normal to feel overwhelmed right now - this community understands those feelings and is here to support you as you learn more about your options and connect with your medical team.

2 months agoI was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer metastasis liver and lymph nodes stage 4. I have had cycle 1. Had 3 days chemo October 6,7,8. Came home with Neulastin. Go back for cycle 2 18 days from 10-6 for 3 more and Neulastin on 11-07 have PET scan to see if it has worked. If not don’t know what we do from there. If it hasn’t worked Really anxious.

a month agoI was diagnosed on December 21, 2024 had biopsy done on February 4 , 2025 ( this is my adopted sons birthday never forget this day ) results came back no small cell lung cancer , had change PCP 3 times before I received my first chemo on June 2 , 2025 I get it every 18 day and it takes 7.5 hours each time . After my 3rd treatment I caught Covid hospitalized for 12 day and that really took a toll on me , they said it has moved back and shrunk, and they said the surgeon wanted to see my gave me hope thinking they would now be able to remove it. Wrong he told me the worst news ever NO SURGERY,I Wouldn't Survive IT OR I WOULDN'T MAKE IT DURING THE INTENCE STAY IN THE ICU HIS ANSWER MORE CHEMO ALONG WITH 30 DAY Straight RADIATION / TILL THE DAY I DIE ( B S ) I STOPPED ALL TREATMENT AND WENT BACK TO Alternative Horse wormer Ivmectolimg ,apple cider vinegar and herbal teas , that was 2 months ago. My color is back I am having more energy and my hair is starting and no more brain fog . I am going to go to M D Anderson for a reevaluate my condition to see what they say . I was to only have 12 months it's been 2 , so if I can get 10 more months feeling this good that I can spend my last days with my 8 year old and make him happy I will be good with / his first hunting trip this weekend he can't wait for it instead of seey Dad sick and hardly getting around .

a month agoI was diagnosed on December 13th 2016 with 4th stage small cell lung cancer spread to my right adrenal gland I've had multiple radiation treatments 1 chemo treatment. The adrenal tumor kept coming back and on the 4th time I had my kidney with the adrenal gland removed. Then it came back 3 times now on my left adrenal gland. So far all scans have shown its gone. Then a tumor popped up on the base of my skull behind my ear, radiation took care of that. It's gone. And a tumor popped up beside my spleen. Radiation on that stopped it from growing and it has shrunk just a little bit so far. My next scan is in January. I'm the longest living person with 4th stage metastatic small cell lung cancer. My doctors are totally baffled and are wondering whats keeping me alive so long. December 13th 2025 I will be celebrating 9 years of life. God is great. I'll be praying for all of you.

15 days agoI just left a comment, but I’m just gonna make this short and brief never give up always try to be positive and being scared. OK I’m scared but you wouldn’t know it if you see me as long as I’m not crying I’m 64 years old never really look my age. I feel like I’m older now I’m scared of shit. I don’t know that much about all this stuff, but I did do a lot of treatment or radiation they could just slow it down. They can’t cure me. I’ve been fighting cancer since 2014. I cut out half my left lung. I have a brain tumor from stage four as well spread back to Both lungs. My adrenal gland on the left side something in my stomach with the size of a baseball attached to my diaphragm cut that out. I’m a mess but I just keep on going be positive. Every day is a blessing. We’re here. It’s just a pain that kills me if I’m in no pain. It wouldn’t bother me as much. The doctors don’t give me pain medicine. I think I’m addicted to it because the doctor at one time just gave me as much as I wanted. I didn’t even want it, but I got hooked on it at one time put myself in a place got off it never really wanna mess with this stuff Again but now I think I would accept it because the pain is unbearable from not the cancer from other stuff from spinal and tooth ache. I need a hip replacement back surgery neck surgery all that stuff. I’m scared of everything so you’re not alone but anytime you wanna call me. I’m gonna leave my number. I may not get back to you right away but within the week for sure, but I’ll check on my phone every 23 days my name is Bobby West my number is (646) 986-0555 anyway I always thought I have a connection with people that have cancer like myself. I’m stage four but they told me I had two years if I did chemo about two years ago and I’m still here. It’s just a number that’s what they say not what God says or any spiritual beliefs that you have or I have we are in charge and our minds just be happy and you need to speak to people that understand you and just be able to speak what you like to say ask questions anything you like? Call me anytime have a beautiful day.
