Anyone else here with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer?

I have a rare EGFR mutation ! The side effect’s from my chemo are numerous! Sores in my mouth I use 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda and 1 cup warm water, I rinse my mouth out 3 times a day,. I have sores in my head ! My legs look like I have cellulitis but it’s a side effect from one of my Chemo’s ! I have 2 chemo’s every 3 weeks! My onocologist put me on prednisone for my legs and found out that it helped my swollen legs but he didn’t want to keep me on prednisone that long so I just live with my legs ! BUT I found out the prednisone helped me get through my tough time after chemo so now he prescribed 3 days of 40 milligram prednisone and I’m not sick ! Sorry this is so long but these are things that help me!

I was just diagnosed with it and they said I have 6 months to live with no treatment and a year and a half with I don’t start treatment till march

I started out with 3 chemos every week for 7 weeks then I went to 2 chemos every 3 weeks! It had metastatic to my brain but it was the size of a bb I had radiation and the last mri showed no new tumors on the brain and my ct scan on my lungs were stable! I started chemo December 26,2024 so I was diagnosed in October 2024 ! I don’t know how old you are I am 80! There are a lot of side effects but so far I am handling them ok! My biggest problem is my stamina ! Please keep in touch if you have any questions!
