3 months agoI have stage 3 lung cancer was diagnosed in December 22 2024 and started chemo on June 2 2025 . I have done 3 round each round is 21 days apart , 2 weeks ago the surgen said that he could not operate due to it has moved to the main artery to my heart and now recommend radiation, daily for 6 weeks 30 session. Bad news with out the radiation he gave me a year with radiation and chemo 5 years, it just seem like I have no way to get rid of it and that sucks . I don't have any other medical problems no heart ,blood pressure ,or diabetic and I am 66 years old .

Prognosis questions are incredibly difficult to navigate, and it's completely understandable to feel overwhelmed when facing these treatment decisions. Every person's cancer journey is unique, and while doctors provide general timelines based on medical data, individual responses to treatment can vary significantly. The combination of radiation and chemotherapy has helped many people with stage 3 lung cancer achieve better outcomes than initially expected. Consider discussing all your concerns and questions about the radiation treatment plan with your oncology team, as they can provide the most personalized guidance based on your specific situation.

2 months agoWell as far as I see it now I just postponed my chemo and was to start radiation Along with chemo tomorrow, being the surgeon said that they can't do surgery on me due to the cancer is now attached to the artery from my lung to my heart . I spent 10 day in the hospital last month from covid and haven't done my last chemo treatment and now they want to do 30 day straight of radiation. I got back on using horses wormer and drinking green tea for the last 30 day , my color has come back and getting stronger every day . So I'm not doing the chemo putting it on hold and my tumor has shrunk to half the size ,and now I can do things with my 8 year old adopted grandson with out getting sick
