Pinpoint radiation (stereotactic radiotherapy) can be an effective treatment option for inoperable soft tissue sarcomas, though the specific approach depends on factors like tumor size, location, and individual medical history. Many community members have shared experiences with radiation therapy when surgery isn't possible, and connecting with others who've faced similar treatment decisions can provide valuable insights and support during this journey.

I do, Metastatic Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma, ASPS and successfully completely stereotactic radiotherapy of more than 11 lesions over just about every hemisphere of my brain, with what appears as of 12/25 to be 100% resorbed. I have also been receiving Keytruda every 21-days since 1/25.

They say pinpoint, but it will still affect everything around it. In 2013, I was diagnosed with Liposarcoma in the neck. Surgery removed the 10cm tumor and nine lip lipnoids. Five and half weeks of pinpoint radiation to the left side of the neck. 2025 diagnosed again with the same sarcoma and same spot almost pinpoint. Haha. More aggressive than my last one in 2013. I underwent a full left neck dissection, which took six and a half hours. To remove the tumor, which grew on my main vain. You know the one that you take your pulse with your fingers. It kinda feeds the brain and face with blood. Funny fact for the last ten to twelve years, I would tell a doctor or nurse I was dead because they couldn't pick up a pulse on the left side of my neck. Hahaha. Now remember I had pinpoint radiation in 2013 Long story short. We found out not only do my nerves in my ass go numb if I touch my chin to my chest,or my teeth are dead, but it killed the carotid artery this whole time. You have one on each side, right? If one isn't letting blood flow to your brain. You, my friend, are on high alert because chances of having a stroke are very high and most likely will happen. Thank the Lord I never fell over stoked out in front of my children in the last twelve years! So, pinpoint take that and do your research. Ask questions and understand that radiation will never be pinpointed. Now it's not like we really have a choice, right? They did what they knew at the time. Let me tell you that they didn't know anything about Liposarcoma in 2013. 2025, they still don't know anything except chemo does nothing to it. I can't or shouldn't be radiated again. Liquefie your jaw, but it's radiation. Pinpoint would be the wrong term. It should be a softball sized area or softballpoint area. The kicker is not treatments, and by the way. IT'S NOT IF, BUT WHEN IT DOES COMEBACK! As I am told by my Oncologist. Don't know why, how, or when it decides to show up. I thank my team for every moment I have until that day. I will meet my maker. 2013, I was 32 years old and in 2025, currently at the ripe age of 45. I have my left peck in the left side of my neck. I don't even sweat on that side. F#@% CANCER AND GOD SPEED! LIFE IS GOOD THOUGH ALL TRILES. IT'S OK
