I had a soft tissue sarcoma mass surgically removed from my leg. The skin grafts are now being done. After 4 weeks I begin radiation. My question is has anyone been given "hypofractionated" radiation vs. the standard radiation treatment? From what I have been able to research the hypofractionated method substantially reduces the number and time of treatments.

Hypofractionated radiation is an approach that delivers higher doses per session over fewer total treatments compared to conventional fractionation schedules. Many patients find the shorter treatment timeline appealing, though the best approach depends on individual factors like tumor location, size, and overall treatment goals. Connecting with others who've experienced different radiation approaches in this community could provide valuable insights as you prepare for this next phase of treatment.
