Later Breast Reconstruction: Advice and Experiences?

I am about to get double mastectomy and wondered the same thing, about if it was possible to wait until later to decide on reconstruction.

There is no timeline from what i understand. I am being delayed to a year after radiation is done

I tried fat transfer 18 months after mastectomy but it didn't take. Now 3 years later I'm considering LD flap. I'm torn because it has been so long and it is another surgery. I've had 6 surgeries in the last 3 years.
