Hello everyone, my name is Judy and I was diagnosed with Non small cell lung cancer in April of 2024. I had surgery on May 2, 2024 to remove a 1/3 of my lung in April it was stage 1 after the surgery the Dr said it was stage 3 and said I would need Chemo. I decided not to have Chemo because I was 78 years old and it would do too much damage to my body. The margins were clear after the surgery, and I would take my chances. My husband did some research on Host Defence mushrooms Turkey Tail and Chaga I have been taking 2 capsules of Turkey tail in the AM and 2 capsules of Chaga in the evening. I had my second CT scan of my chest, abdomen, pelvis and brain MRI on August 12 , 2025. I was cancer free 14 months after surgery. I have never felt better than I do today, I wanted to share this with all of you who are dealing with this diagnosis. I am sending my thoughts and prayers to you all wishing you the best!

Thank you for sharing this encouraging update about your recovery journey. It's wonderful to hear that your recent scans showed no evidence of cancer and that you're feeling well. Your experience highlights how personal treatment decisions can be, especially when considering factors like age and quality of life. While each person's situation is unique and requires individual medical guidance, your story may offer hope to others facing similar decisions. Many community members find it helpful to hear about different approaches to staying healthy after surgery, and your openness about your choice may encourage valuable discussions with oncology teams about what's right for each person's specific circumstances.
