2 months agoHello, I’m going in for a lumpectomy tomorrow morning. I have been diagnosed with HER2+ and ER+ Stage 2 Breast cancer. 2.7 cm lump. Then radiation following surgery. Very nervous and scared. I’m65 and I have a very supportive husband. Not looking forward to this. But it has to come out. ☹️

Lumpectomy is a common breast-conserving surgery where the surgeon removes the tumor along with a small amount of surrounding healthy tissue, and many patients find the recovery more manageable than they initially expected. Having a supportive partner makes such a difference during recovery, and it's completely natural to feel nervous before any surgery - these feelings show how much you care about your health and getting better.

2 months agoI had the lump removed Oct 6th. This is a frightening thing but after the surgery my reassurance was that the tumor no longer was invading my body. God bless you during your journey

2 months agoMy wife had a lumpectomy about 6 weeks ago. It went well and she is doing great. Surgery took almost 4 hours. What surprised me was after she recovered, we were sent home. She was never in any real pain, just a little discomfort. The strongest thing she took was extra strength Tylenol. Good luck.
