2 years agoFor those of you who had all your lymph nodes removed how many of you experienced lymphedema and when did it start post surgery?
Accepted Answer
Lymphedema timing varies widely among people who have had lymph node removal, with some experiencing it within weeks or months after surgery while others may develop it years later or not at all. Many factors can influence when and if lymphedema develops, including the number of nodes removed, radiation treatment, infections, and individual healing patterns. Sharing experiences about lymphedema onset can help others in the community understand what to watch for and when to seek support from their healthcare team.

6 months agoHi Sarah I had my first surgery October 2021 I had 28 lymph nodes removed from my arm I started having problems with lymphedema a few weeks to a month after I recently had a radical neck dissection and had 45 lymph nodes removed from my clavicle and neck I am still receiving therapy and treatment for my lymphedema in my arm. I’ve recently switched therapist and I’m working on getting a lymph pump for my arm and for my chest.
