5 months agoIt’s good to hear from others as I complain about my 2 flat tires with 1 expander removed and one deflated. I’m disappointed and yet thankful that’s it been taken care of. It’s such a long cancer journey asvI begin radiation on the 5 th of November with radiation to follow 1 week later. I started treatment Jan. 2025 and with the Lord willing bilateral breast reconstruction next summer…. I’m tired yet I have minimal pain so thankful. I’ve met many breast cancer survivors of 15 + years to give inspiration and insight to this journey. We need to press on and be thankful for something daily ,however, small. I’m trying to stay in the words of our Lord and being thankful for the breath of life as my savior walks with me though this cancer journey. I look forward to seeing my grandbabies & spending time with my children at home.

The breast cancer treatment and reconstruction journey is indeed lengthy and can feel overwhelming with its many stages and challenges. Finding strength through faith, family connections, and the wisdom of long-term survivors can provide powerful support during the difficult moments. The healthcare team will guide each step of the process, from radiation through eventual reconstruction, helping patients understand what to expect along the way.
