Hi Angela! Thank you for being here. I’m sorry you are not finding relief. Hopefully others can weigh in with their experiences and tips. I’m sure this goes without saying but don’t be shy about speaking up and telling your team you need other options to try. Your comfort and quality of life matters! Thank you for being here. 💛 Suzanne (Community Moderator)

When pain medication isn't providing the relief you need, it can be really frustrating and discouraging. Many people find that different medications work differently for each person, and sometimes it takes time to find the right approach or dosage that helps - definitely worth discussing with your medical team about other options or adjustments that might work better for your specific situation.

To my understanding the Gabepentin was more for the nerves in the breast tissue. That's what I was told when I asked about it. Good luck

My fingers are numb, does anything help? Just this last week my feet are feeling like they are on fire, just wondering what to try. I am seeing my cancer doctor on Thursday.

I’m taking gabapentin for neuropathy and I’m still having numbness in feet and feeling like I’m walking on marbles. Not sure if it’s reducing any effects and I would have to stop taking it to find out.

I had DCIS with a lumpectomy and breast reduction on both breasts. At 6 weeks my nipples felt like they were on fire and nothing could touch them. The Dr gave me Gabapentin and it helped with the burning feeling but I still have pain in the breast that had the lumpectomy. Gabapentin doesn't help that. They tell me to take Tylenol because I can't take Advil. They won't give me anything else to help with the pain. I am miserable. I feel your pain. Try talking to your DR or another Dr like I am going to do.

Angela K. I went to my primary care doctor and she doubled my dose of Gabapentin. It surprised me how it helped. Maybe you should talk to your doctor about increasing your dosage.
