3 years agoHi all! Unfortunately I just got word that my old neighbor was diagnosed with breast cancer and she is scheduled for a bilateral mastectomy in a couple of weeks. I had a lumpectomy so am wondering if anyone could share a list of things that really helped them with mastectomy recovery so I can start gathering them for her. She’s a single mom. 😔

What a thoughtful way to support someone during such a challenging time. Many community members have shared that comfortable button-front tops, soft pillows for positioning, and items for easy meal preparation can make a real difference during recovery. Consider reaching out to others here who may have specific suggestions based on their experiences - this community is full of caring people who understand the journey and often have practical tips to share.
