This type of surgery can feel overwhelming to think about, and it's completely natural to want to hear from others who have been through similar experiences. Many community members find it helpful to connect with others who understand what this journey involves, from the preparation process through recovery. Hopefully some folks here will share their insights to help you feel more prepared and supported as you move forward with scheduling.

I had my bladder and prostate removed in October of 2024, went Thru 6 rounds of Chemo and 6 rounds of Immunotherapy (Opdivo). My cancer appears to be gone, but now have rheumatoid arthritis, caused from the immuno! Niw taking infusions for the Arthritis! Would be open to discussing any concerns you may have!!

I have T2 MIBC, they are wanting to start chemotherapy. My Pet scan on Dec.22 was showing no spreading. After chemotherapy they are wanting to remove my bladder and prostate, I am very skeptical about having my bladder removed. Would like to hear pro’s and con’s.

I had robotic removal including construction of ileal conduit and abdomen stoma. Post-surgery itch will drive u batty -- use moisturizer on the incisions. I have home health care to help with vital readings and bag change every 4 days. 6 hour surgery, 8 days in hospital. Constipation, fatigue and small appetite are ongoing issues.
