a year agoHello! Can anyone share their experience with the latissimus flap reconstruction surgery? Due to several complications post radiation, it looks like it may be my only option (or go flat). Would love to know about recovery time and any long term effects.

This sounds like a challenging decision to navigate, and it's completely understandable to want to hear from others who have been through this procedure. Many community members have shared helpful insights about latissimus flap reconstruction, including details about healing timelines and what to expect afterward, so hopefully others will chime in with their experiences to help you feel more prepared for whatever path you choose.

6 months agoYes I had the latissimus flap surgery to the left side. It worked really well for me. I had no complications but I was very compliant with instructions for healing. The first 2 weeks you have drains in to help with healing and swelling. I was placed on Lyrica to block nerves. So I had little pain. Then after 2 weeks drains removed and I could go for walks and do leg exercises. Then 4-6 weeks just rehabbing my arm and getting into normal routine. 8 weeks back to weights, biking and normal life. With prayers and I also feel God is always guiding me. 🙏
