5 months agoDaisy, I would ask to have a genetic test, and ask as many questions as you can, since your sister had it. Find out what type you have. The American Cancer Society website has lots of information. Good luck.

4 months agoI am in the same boat. I had the lumpectomy, at that time we were not sure it was cancer. So now I am having DMX. I can’t handle the stress of the recurrence. A personal decision. I was told lumpectomy with radiation and blockers would be the recommended action. They say small chance of recurrence. dMX makes it smaller. Definitely a personal choice and neither is easy.

3 months agoI had a lumpectomy followed by 8 chemo treatments followed by 8 weeks of daily radiation. Chemo wasn't too bad ... Not as bad as I expected. Radiation was extremely uncomfortable. I was horribly burned by the end. 5 year survivor now ... Recently diagnosed with kidney cancer. Partial nephrectomy scheduled for October 6.
