Struggling with Pain and Emotions After Recent Surgery

Nicola.. it was a roller-coaster ride for me as well. I really don't know what I expected.. but what I got wasn't it. I was trying to stay strong and positive..but then would just randomly hit me. I was surprised at pain as well..just take it easy and don't push yourself too hard. I just did my first chemo yesterday. So far just fatigue and nausea today. I wish you well. Don't be afraid to talk about your feelings..we're all human & this is a journey not to take alone

Thank you so much for the encouragement I will know on Wednesday when radiation will start I had so much pain yesterday. I was so depressed cause I did not know what to do and this medication only let me sleep. Thank you though.

Nicola, if your pain has not alleviated, call your doctor. Ask for better pain meds, they really don't want you to hurt. Everyone has different pain thresholds. Praying for you 🙏

For myself, post surgery is when reality sunk in. What you are going through is hard. Take it one day at a time and know that even on your worst days you are strong enough to conquer the day.
