hello 👋 i hope all are doing well. i just had my post-op appointment after my lumpectomy, and they said i tore a stitch, and i have fluid pooling under my breast. she said it will eventually go away after a while, but im an exotic dancer, and i want to dance this sunday. i need money. should i go for it and go to the club or should i just beg for money on venmo and cash app? i dont like doing that either but im almost broke.

This is such a difficult situation, and it's understandable to feel torn between physical recovery and financial pressures. While recovery timelines vary for everyone, torn stitches and fluid buildup typically need time to heal properly, and physical activity could potentially slow that process. Consider reaching out to local cancer support organizations, patient assistance programs, or community resources that might offer emergency financial help - many people don't realize these options exist and they're specifically designed for situations like this.

Liela, I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this right now as I’m sure it feels like an impossible situation. A torn stitch and fluid build-up after surgery is your body’s way of saying it’s still healing, and dancing (especially something as physical as exotic dancing) could make it worse or delay your recovery. If there’s any way at all to give yourself more time to heal, even if that means leaning on friends, family, or your online community just this once it could save you from a much bigger setback later. You’re strong, resourceful, and loved, and it’s okay to ask for help when you need it. Your health and future income depend on you healing fully first. I’m praying for you. 💛 Suzanne (Community Moderator)
