Thank you for sharing something so personal and important. Intimacy challenges after prostate surgery are very common, and many couples in this community have found ways to maintain closeness and satisfaction through open communication, exploring different forms of intimacy, and working with healthcare providers who specialize in post-surgical recovery. Consider reaching out to your medical team about available options, and remember that physical intimacy extends beyond just one aspect - emotional connection, touch, and creativity can all play meaningful roles in your relationship.

I know how you feel . It becomes a head issue . I have no confidence in myself to perform . Communication with your wife is important. You are not alone with this .

My husband finishes his radiation for advanced aggressive prostate cancer on Monday. If you can do touch therapy with your significant other that helps. We haven't had sex in 2 years but having him alive is more important to me

I’m so sorry. It isn’t just men. Twenty-five years ago, chemo caused me (as it does many women) to have vaginal atrophy. I’ve been struggling to overcome it in various ways all these years with limited success. It’s difficult, painful (physically and emotionally). My husband has been great. He’d rather I was alive. We have found ways of being intimate that don’t include intercourse. It’s not what it was before, but then, nothing is.

Yeah I’m in the same boat. Your doctor should have some options that may work for you. Getting blood flow back is key and then pelvic floor muscles keep it in your penis.
