5 months agoHello everyone! I am on day 6 of recovery from lumpectomy, and sentinel node removal plus reconstruction and lift. I have my 1st follow-up today. I really hope these drains come out. I seem to be healing well. I was started on Letrozole almost a month after my diagnosis and surprisingly during my preop seed placement, they had difficulty finding the cancer because it shrunk quickly. I've heard terrible things about Letrozole but luckily I've only experienced mild headaches, fatigue, and a little dizziness. Next is radiation which sounds so scary to me. So far the plan is 15 days 🙏. I have really sensitive skin so I'm not looking forward to it.

5 months agoI had a lumpectomy on April 15th and five sentinel nodes removed. No reconstruction surgery for me. I just completed 21 days of radiation and though the Radiation treatments were not bad, my skin on my entire left breast is very very angry. I hope your treatment goes well for you

4 months agoI have my lumpectomy on August 28 and they haven’t mentioned drains is that standard for lumpectomies? Also how were the first few days after the surgery? I am anxious and not sure what to expect.
