I’m having a stomy closure next month, has anyone gone through this before, I would like to know how’s the recovery process, I’m getting really anxious since I just finished my chemo treatment and I just went through a colectomy and I I’m getting really scared. Can someone give me an idea of what to expect

Stoma closure recovery varies for each person, but many community members find it helpful to know that healing typically progresses gradually over several weeks. Your care team will provide specific guidance based on your situation, and connecting with others here who've been through similar experiences can offer valuable support and encouragement during this next step in your journey.

Mine was about 2-3 months before I felt fully healed. Great feeling once I got there.

There is an online support group for people with an ostomy called Meet an Ostomate (MAO). You may want to check it out. You can get plenty of answers and advice there.
