Has anyone had thyroid surgery while on prostate cancer treatment?

Good Morning, I am Willie. I have metastatic prostate cancer and receiving hormone treatment. Now I need to have, at least, half of my thyroid removed. Punch test did not revile cancer, so far. Has anyone had thyroid surgery? If so, how did that affect your body?
